Evolution launches new studio in the US
Evolution, which first appeared on the Internet in 2006, has been the leader in the field of live casino games for many years now. Until recently, it had 10 studios worldwide where it filmed its games being played live by real dealers. Well, it has opened an eleventh one.
On Thursday, Evolution's third US-based studio was opened. It is located in the state of Michigan since the live casino has just been authorized in this market. The games are already being broadcast on the casino sites in India.
New studio located in Southfield, a suburb of Detroit
Live games run by live dealers made their legal debut in the United States, during 2016, when New Jersey finally allowed them. Soon after, Pennsylvania followed suit. Both of the regulations in place each require that live games be filmed within the state. That's why Evolution didn't fail to launch a studio in New Jersey and then in Pennsylvania.
On Thursday at 10 am, a Michigan law that also allows live casino became effective. It also imposes the same kind of obligation. That's why Evolution has just opened its third studio in the United States in the Detroit suburb of Southfield.
At the moment, there are only two active software companies in this country. The other is none other than Ezugi, which was acquired at the end of 2018 by Evolution. Nevertheless, the latter remains for the moment the only one authorized in the state of Michigan.
Only roulette, blackjack and baccarat for now
The new one built in the state of Michigan is proving to be on the cutting edge of live casino. It offers live games accessible from a computer but also from an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet on the online casinos of 10 different operators including BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, PokerStars or William Hill among others.
However, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has already indicated that other live games will be allowed in the future. It has to be said that in the Evolution software library, there is plenty of choice with different poker variants, craps or sic bo among others.
